Wow am I behind on my blog. I'm not quite sure how to catch up so I'll try to quickly update. We definitely enjoyed the nice weather last week. WH and SS#1 squeezed in golf after work/school, SS#2 and I went fishing with my sis in law and nephews. WH bought SS#2 and our nephews the rocket fishing rods and they were all very excited about them. It took a while to get the hang of how they worked but overall they are definitely safer to use for little ones. Unfortunately the fish weren't biting until finally SS#2 and I were getting ready to leave and he got a bite and caught a small bass. Soon after that the weather turned cold again and we were all stuck inside wishing we could be outside. So when it warmed up to the 50's Sunday we went out to the land with WH's friend joining us and the guys played games in the woods with the paint ball guns. We cooked supper over a fire- just hamburgers and hot dogs, but it was good. I tried to take pics of the paint ball action and it was a blast to watch. I will post some of the pics soon. I had opportunity to scrapbook over the weekend at night but for some reason I just wasn't in the mood. SS#1 has been busy after school with track practice and SS#2 has started a football camp that is THurs, Fri and Saturday. He says he is enjoying it.

Painting

Everyone was busy today -( WH and SS#1 went golfing, and SS#2 played with his cousins) except me so I decided to paint the boys bathroom. The bright neon green with orange and blue waves at the top and scattered fish, ocotpus and bubbles had to go. Because of the bright colors it took almost 3 coats of primer. Luckily its a small bathroom so I was able to finish it today. I will probably have to go over some spots tomorrow that will show up with daylight and also need to touch up the white crown molding and trim that is if I can manage to use my arms as they already ache and will probably be worse tomorrow. Overall it looks nice - I painted it a color between cream and tan. Though its a lot of work its always nice to do something new in the house. I still enjoy looking around the boys' room that we re -decorated/painted before Christmas.

Scrapbook Connection

Sad news recently here in little Robinson - our one and only scrapbook store which was very nice and convenient is going to close. I haven't spoken to the owner yet but I am thinking mayber her husband is being transferred and they are moving as the store "appeared" to be a small success. The few times I went to the Friday night crops her tables were all full and she had other crops scheduled frequently which I can assume were because of demand, but anyway it is sad for us scrappers. It was so nice to run there for exactly what I needed for a certain page and of course she had great stuff. I really need to get up there to stock up as I don't like going to the big hobby stores in T.H. and I think its a hassle to contact a creative memories consultant and wait for an order. Unfortunately, I also need to get more photos printed before I can get in the mood to go buy some stuff - I'm kind-of funny that way. She is also selling all her paper racks, tables, etc. I wish I had the space to put some of that stuff, it would definitely make scrapbooking easier - Oh well.

Time flies

Well its Friday again and I have totally neglected my blog. After a nice weekend I woke up Monday morning with aweful nausea and dizziness and basically spent the entire morning in bed. I felt a little better Tuesday but not much and overall have felt crappy all week. Hopefully it has finally passed. I was thinking of scrappin tonight but I just haven't got motivated to get my stuff out. ss#2 had a follow up appt this week from his surgery and all is well. SS#1 also saw a doctor this week - actually he saw a PA - for left knee pain that he has had since basketball season. Luckily it isn't too bad, basically inflammation where the patellar tendon attatches to the tibia - a form of Osgood - Schlotters. So he is on a NSAID twice a day and ice after activity, but he can still participate in track which starts next week. SS#2 starts a football camp Sunday. WH has had a busy week at work- he and his friend from Cali are enjoying the ping pong table they bought together - they used to play constantantly in college. SS#2 and I played a little, but spent more time chasing the ball and restarting but still had fun. bye for now!!
